Sweden comes to an end, and with it, The European Divide Trail. With just a short section through Finland and Norway left I’m now almost at the end of Europe. But not before sleeping on reindeer hide, camping near lakes and crossing the Arctic circle.

Having no expectations for Denmark it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. No epic climbs or muddy tracks but just a joy to cycle. Amazing wild camping shelters and lots of viking remains to see.

Germany is an exciting milestone country during the European Divide Trail. Not only is it officially halfway but at the end of this I’ll be in Scandinavia!

Having crossed the border with France, the trail now takes me through vineyards and besides rivers before getting stuck in vosges because of mud. France never disappoints!

Riding through endless rows of olive trees to eventually conquer Spanish Mongolia and ending with a lush crossing into France. The European Divide Trail has now fully begun!
